This image was painted in 2006 by artist Tommy Canning from Scotland.

"The title of this painting is from Matthew 5, Chapter 7—the most fitting title to resonate with the theme for a conference for which it was commissioned: “Blessed are the merciful, they shall receive mercy”.

According to her spiritual diary, St Faustina said Jesus at times referred to her as “Apostle and Secretary” of His Mercy, so the painting was to reflect that idea and also the saints and blessed who were the subject of the talks given by the speakers at the conference." Tommy Canning
