The Purple Scapular, also called the Scapular of Benediction and Protection, is a Catholic devotional sacramental originating from private revelations to mystic Marie-Julie Jahenny in 1878. This is used to offer special protection from natural disasters, supernatural dangers, fires, storms, and chastisements to those who wear or display it reverently.
