This image titled "Creatio Ex Nihilo" was painted in 2002 by
artist Tommy Canning from Scotland.
"Measuring approximately eight feet wide by five-and-a-half feet tall and taking about one full year to complete, from 2001 to 2002, this was by far the most ambitious project I had ever attempted to paint. Creatio Ex Nihilo, Latin for “creation out of nothing”: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). It was commissioned relating to Servant of God Luisa Picarreta and the Centre for the Divine Will in the US." Tommy Canning
