This image was painted in 1995 by Scotish artist Tommy Canning.

"In 1995, this was the very first painting I produced relating to Divine Mercy. As I had become aware of the devotion and its message, I was by that stage very familiar with the image that the then recently Beatified Faustina had described in her diary. I had by this time also become familiar with many different versions of the image, but I had never come across any images that depicted the moment showing Our Lord with Faustina in the scene."  Tommy Canning
