The artist responsible for the image painted in 1898 was Luigi Crosio (18-35-1915), who lived and died in Turin, Italy. The title is known worldwide and in the international language of the Faith is termed Refugium Peccatorum>: in English, 'Refuge of Sinners' and in German, 'Zuflucht der Sünder.'

It is an image of grace, kept in every chapel of the Schoenstatt apostolic movement around the world, and the pilgrim image of Our Lady Thrice Admirable which travels around the world to Schoenstatt families is more than a devotion: it is a friendship with Mary that can change the world, one heart at a time.
